The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
