Rice's Prior Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals injured. He was given a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
On the field, Rice concluded the season with 53 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a ten-year span.
